I coached three years at the University of Minnesota. The first two years as an undergraduate assistant and the third year as a graduate assistant. The Golden Gophers won a Big Ten Championship and finished second behind Indiana and Bobby Knight. The Golden Gophers were the #1 ranked defensive team in the country. We played before the largest crowds in the nation. Over 19,000 fans were in Williams Arena, while another 3-5000 were next door in the Hockey Arena watching on close-circuit television. Three All Americans played for Minnesota during those years: Jim Brewer, Clyde Turner and Ron Behagen. The Gophers were ranked in the top 10 in the nation two of the three years.

Hi,

I trust that you've had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. The New York Yankees have already been very busy in the off season and I will be following their progress over the next many weeks.

The Minnesota Vikings travel to Chicago to play the Bears on Sunday. A win on Sunday would be very big. The Detroit Red Wings have gotten off to a nice start in their season and will be hosting the Chicago Blackhawks tonight at the Joe Loius Arena.

The Women of the Spoken Word Church and Bill Novak Ministries have an Advance this weekend, so the men will stand in the gap at home.

Shalom,

Bill
