My sister Maryann painted a coach's doll for me with Mount Senario royal blue and bright gold colors. The coach has a whistle and a ball under his right arm. Notice the 70s coaches look!

After Minnesota, I became the head basketball coach and athletic director at Mount Senario College, a Division III school in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

Five All-Americans played for Mt. Senario during those 7 years:
Melvin Bradley (Chicago), Tyrone King (Chicago), Bill Sanderlin (Arizona), Don Zierden (Minnesota) and Randy Mudgett (Wisconsin).

We brought Mt. Senario to national prominence with 4 trips to the National Tournament, 3 district championships and 2 conference titles.

MSC was ranked in the top 20 in the nation 6 times, including 4 times in the top 10.

Coaching the Fighting Saints was a great experience that helped prepare me for the work of the ministry.

Shalom,

Bill
