This weekend marks the beginning of the Big Ten college football season. The Minnesota Gophers and the Wisconsin Badgers begin play today at home facing Northern Illinois and Akron respectively.

September is one of the biggest and busiest months for sports. In baseball the regular season is in its final month and the playoffs begin in October. In football the NFL begins its regular season . In basketball and hockey training camps begin with regular seasons starting up in October.
